A recent study by Dr. Linda Mah shows that higher levels of anxiety in study subjects were associated with a greater prevalence of Alzheimer’s and dementia.  This raises the question of whether reducing anxiety could prevent dementia and Alzheimer’s.

Mass. General Hospital: Meditation changes the structure of the brain

A study by Massachusetts General Hospital shows that modest amounts of meditation over an 8 week period produce changes in parts of the brain known for improved calmness, sense of self, empathy and memory.
